Truth Stands Alone
As humans, we often struggle with the concept of truth. We want to know what is real and what is not, but we also want to believe what makes us feel comfortable or validated. However, the truth is not dependent on our beliefs or feelings; it stands on its own, without any need for support or justification. Hence, it needs no kickstand.
In John 14:6, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." This statement is a reminder that the truth is not subjective or relative, but rather an objective reality that exists independently of our opinions or perspectives.
As followers of Christ, we are called to seek the truth and hold fast to it, even when it is difficult or unpopular. The truth does not need a kickstand to stand upright; it is firm and unshakeable on its own.
In John 8:32, Jesus said, "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." This verse reminds us that the truth is not meant to weigh us down or restrict us, but rather to liberate us from the bondage of lies and deception.
As we seek the truth, let us remember that it is not a burden to be carried or a task to be accomplished. Rather, it is a gift to be received and a joy to be embraced. Let us trust in the unchanging nature of the truth and allow it to guide us in all aspects of our lives.
The truth does not need a kickstand because it is self-sufficient and self-evident. As we seek to follow Christ and live according to His will, let us hold fast to the truth and allow it to shape our hearts, minds, and actions. May we be known as people of integrity and honesty, who stand firm in the face of adversity and remain faithful to the truth, no matter what.
In Christ,
Pastor Evan Palmer
